From the Pastor's Study
Love
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
1Co 13:1  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become
as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1Co 13:2  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge;
and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be
burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1Co 13:4  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not
puffed up,
1Co 13:5  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no
evil;
1Co 13:6  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1Co 13:7  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1Co 13:8  Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be
tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1Co 13:9  For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1Co 13:10  But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1Co 13:11  When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but
when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1Co 13:12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then
shall I know even as also I am known.
1Co 13:13  And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

These are very good scriptures but Christians forget this means to LOVE everyone not just other
Christians but sinners as well  the Lord said.
MATTHEW 5:46-48   (Matthew 5:46)  For if ye love
them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?

(Matthew 5:47)  And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the
publicans so?

(Matthew 5:48)  Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

MATTHEW 9:12 (Matthew 9:12)  But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole
need not a physician, but they that are sick.

We must remember what I call the 11th commandment  John 13:34-35
(John 13:34)  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.

(John 13:35)  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

May God bless you & keep you.Pastor Allen Gilbert

LIGHT or Darkness

When God looks at you what does He see?
Does He see the flickering fire of heaven or the darkness of hell?
This is a question each of must ask our selves.

1.        Am I truly a child of God or do I just claim to be?
2.        Have I truly given my life to the Lord?
3.        Do I listen to the quiet voice or the yelling voice?
4.        When I talk about the Lord is it a great conversation or just in passing?

I am not judging you, but you must judge yourself.

5.        Am I really where I want to be? Or am I just sliding through?
6.
Do you know God or do you just know about God? Do you really know Him?
7.        Is He first in your life? Or do you put other things first?
8.        Where are you with your walk?

These are things you need to ask yourself. I am not judging but God is. I love each and every one of
you. May God bless you each and everyday.

The Challenge                                                  Posted 04/26/2011
Here is the thirty-day challenge:
Give God everything for thirty (30) days.
You gave satan everything for years. So why not give God thirty days just one full month.

We so often say that we are Christians but we do not give God everything. Just try God for
thirty days. Give God your morning, your noon, your night, your life. If you do not see or feel
a difference, I will not mention it again. But you must honestly truly give it all to God.

God bless!
Rev. Allen “Keith” Gilbert

For guidance use:
Philippians 4:4-9 (Amplified Bible)
4Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
5Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness,
your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon].
6Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything,
by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants
known to God.
7And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through
Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort
that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over
your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
8For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable
and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is
kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything
worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on
them].
9Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your
way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with
you.

Suggestions on how to give everything to God
from Sister Pastor Martha Gilbert

Read God’s Word instead of the paper or yahoo news. Listen to Worship music instead of
your usual music on the way to work and back, or listen to preaching via talk radio or your
Ipod etc. Read Bible stories instead of watching all the evening TV shows you usually do. I f
you do not usually attend church services for corporate worship attend them this month at a
good Bible teaching church in your area. Surround yourself with things that remind you of
God’s love and Jesus sacrifice for you! Renew your mind by reading God’s Word out loud
several times a day. Pray for people instead of getting mad or making rude or mean
comments to them.

Father bless and prosper each person who reads this and grant them abundant grace and favor in
all they put their hands to  through Christ Amen.
