Article III Tenants of Faith
The Bible {basic instructions before leaving earth} is our written guide for our
faith, and all of our practices. Hence, this statement of Fundamental Truths is
intended as a basis of fellowship and unity among us: i.e.; that we all are of one
mind and speak one thing in unity with the Word of God. {One Corinthians 1:10,
Acts 2:42-44}. The language used in such statement is not inspired, not contended
for, but the truth set forth is held essential to our ministry, no claim is made that it
contains all truth in the Bible, only that it covers our present need in these
fundamental matters.
The Scriptures
inspired.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a
revelation from the Father to His creation “man” the infallible rule of faith and
conduct and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason, {2
Timothy 3:15-16}
The Godhead
We believe there is but one living and true God, everlasting, of infinite power,
wisdom, goodness, and grace. Creator and preserver of all things, both visible and
invisible, our god is a Holy Trinity in unity, manifested in three personas The
Father, The Son {Christ} and the Holy Spirit. God is infinitely perfect being, in
His three personas co-existing, equal, and eternal.
God the Father is greater than all {John 14; 28} the source of the word and the
begetter {John 16; 28, 1; 14}
The Son was begotten of the father, accepting earthly limitations, true God and
True Man; conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He who
knew no sin became sin for us and died on the cross at Calvary, so that all who
believe in Him and confess Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior can be clean
by His shed blood. Three days after He suffered and died for us Jesus arose from
the tomb beating hell and the grave to ascend to the heavens to save us by sitting
on His throne at the right hand of the Father in heaven, to act as our intercessor
with God the Father until the appointed time of His return to establish His
kingdom and take us home.
The Holy Spirit is a divine entity sent down here to earth to dwell in the hearts of
those of us who believe. A great Comforter whose job it is to guide, teach,
comfort, convict us unto repentance of sin and to convince the world of sin, of
righteousness, and of Judgment coming. {John 16; 8}
Man his fall and redemption
Man is a created being, made in the likeness of the Father, the image of God
{Genesis 1; 26-31} but man by freewill faltered and disobeyed God. {Genesis 3;
1-7} and our only hope at redemption is God’s only begotten Son Christ Jesus
who manifested in the flesh, to reconcile us to the Father by rebuking Lucifer the
fallen angel (aka; satan, devil. bael, many other names he has used) by His
unselfish act of being a living sacrifice for our sins, the lamb to slaughter so His
blood could cover our sin by His brutal and unjust punishment and crucifixion. In
hope that we might be saved He died for us, because God loves us that much.
{1John 3; eight, Romans 5; 12-21}
The Salvation of mankind
Condition of Salvation
The GRACE of God, which bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men, through
the preaching of the Gospel about repentance to God for our sins and FAITH
toward our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Man is saved by the washing,
regeneration, and renewal of our heart, body and mind by the Holy Spirit, by
accepting Jesus as our personal Savior then being justified by His blood by
GRACE through FAITH we become heir to the throne of God according to the
hope of eternal life by adoption in to the Family of God. {Titus 2; 11, Romans 10;
8-15, Luke 24; 47, Titus 3; 5-7}
Evidence of Salvation.
The internal evidence to the believer is direct witness of the Holy Spirit. {Romans
8: 16}. The outward evidence to all mankind is a life of righteousness and true
holiness. {Matthew 5; 16} and fruits of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, long suffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control {Galatians 5; 22-23}.
Church Ordinances
Baptism by Water
Baptism by water for remission of sins should be observed as written in the
scriptures. This act is symbolic of Christ being buried and rising again. By washing
the body in water it signifies the cleansing the believers heart has already gone thru
by confessing Jesus as Lord and accepting His gift His blood as a covering that
wipes away our sin. {Matthew 28; 19-20, Romans 6; 4, Hebrews 10; 22,
Colossians 2; 12, Acts 8; 36-39}
Holy Communion
At the last supper Jesus gave His disciples bread to signify His body to be given
for us and wine to signify His blood to be spilled for us. In addition, He said to do
this in remembrance of Him and the new covenant he brought to us. {One
Corinthians 11; 23-26}
Christenings
Infants and small children may be dedicated to the Lord during a regular or special
service as requested. {Mark 10:13-16, Luke 18:15-16, Matthew 19:13-15}
HEALING
The sick shall be prayed for, with the anointing of oil and laying on of hands, upon
request or permission granted. {Mark 16:18, James 5:14}
Sanctification.
The Bible declares that without holiness no man shall see the Lord {Hebrews 12:
14}. We believe the cleansing of the body, heart and mind is a definitive and
ongoing process, starting at the time of rebirth till we leave this earth and go to live
with the Father. {Hebrews 13:12, I Thessalonians 5:23, I Peter 1:15-16, I John 2:
6}
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit {Ghost}.
The Baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire {Matthew 3:11} is a gift from God as the
Spirit Himself gives the utterance. With it comes the endowment of power for life
and service {Acts 1:8}. The Holy Spirit is promised to all believers and is received
although not always evident at rebirth {Acts 10:44-46}. It is evidenced by
speaking in tongues as the first outward sign of evidence.
The Church
The church is the body of Christ, the home of God in us as Spirit, with divine
appointments for the fulfillment offer great commission. Each believer born of
Spirit is an integral part of the body of Christ. {Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:22, Hebrews
12:23} We believe in the five fold ministry as outlined in the Bible as set by
God…First Apostles, second Prophets, third Evangelists, fourth Pastors, and fifth
Teachers, then set are miracles, the gifts of healing, helps, governments,
diversities of tongues,. We believe {I Corinthians 12:1-11}. All these gifts are
operating in the church today, as is the five-fold ministry to prepare and perfect
the saints.
Divine Healing
Supernatural healing is provided for in the scripture and is a gift and privilege that
all believers can claim, accept and receive. It is wrought by God, through the
prayer of Faith and with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil by Elders.
{Mark 16:13, James 5:14-15, Isaiah 53:4-5}
The Blessed Hope { Rapture of the Saints}
It is written that Jesus shall return in the same manner that He ascended to the
Father after He rose from the tomb {Acts 1:11}. Also, that His coming is eminent
and that the dead in Christ shall rise up then the living will be caught up to meet in
the clouds with Jesus. {I Thessalonians 4:16-17}. Then after Tribulation He shall
reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and together with His saints who shall
be kings and priests. He shall reign a thousand years {Revelations 20:6}
Heaven and Hell
We believe that our father has prepared us a place in Heaven to live with Him
after our earthly body expires as a reward for being faithful and righteous.
{Matthew 25:34, Luke 12:32, II Corinthians 5:1} We in turn also believe that
those who do not believe and serve faithfully the Father by confession thru Christ
our Lord and Savior shall be banished from God’s very presence and tormented in
hell as such are the wages of sin. {Matthew 25:46, Psalms 9:17, Revelation 21:7-
8}
